I want to share with you some examples of the technology resources that I use in my class.

1.  Voki


Voki is an educational tool that allows users to create their own talking avatar.  Voki characters can be customized to look like cartoon, animals, historical figures, etc. 

You can add your voice by microphone or use text-to-speech to make it use a computerized voice.

My students enjoy creating these and listening to the ones that I create for them. It gives them an opportunity to hear themselves so they can continue to improve their communicative skills.

2.  Storybird

Storybird is a collaborative storytelling tool.  Students use collections of art to be inspired to write stories.  
One the art is chosen, students are able to build there story by dragging and dropping pictures and creating a story to match.

3.  Edmodo


Edmodo is an educational website for teachers and students.  It offers a safe and controlled enviroment appropiate for school, where students and teachers can reach out to one another and connect by sharing ideas, activities and helpful tips.

A teacher can assign and grade work on Edmodo.  It also provides several ways for teachers to connect with other teachers and share ideas and activities.

4.  Educaplay


Educaplay is a website that allows teachers to create their own multimedia teaching activities.  The teacher can create many different types of interactive teaching resources including interactive maps and pictures, cloze activities, dialogue analysis and many learning games such as quizzes, matching games, riddles, crosswords etc.  Click on the link below and learn more about it.

5.  Flubaroo


Flubaroo is a script that will run in a Google Spreadsheet that will grade an assessment in minutes! 

First, you must sign into your Google account and create an assessment using Google Forms.  Once this is completed, you must complete the assessment and enter ANSWER KEY into the first and last name.  That way it is easy recognizable to select the correct responses when setting up the Flubaroo configuration.

Next, you must install the script on the responses spreadsheet.  Initialize the settings in the script to select the answer key, and amount of points the questions are worth.  Once this is done, run the script and it will grade the responses.

This is a great app not just to grade online assignments but also to get reporting and analysis on students performance.

6.  Padlet


Provides a virtual bulletin board for collaboration. Teachers and students can post comments, photos, or links.

7.  Storyjumper


StoryJumper is a site that gives teachers, students, parents, and authors a fun set of intuitive tools for writing and illustrating stories.







8.  edu.buncee.com

 It is a creation and presentation tool, simplified. It’s a fun and easy to use web-based tool that’s been helping students & educators across the world create and learn - both within and outside of the classroom



9.  Quizizz



It is a multiplayer quiz game for classrooms that allows you to conduct the student-paced formative assessments in a fun and engaging way for students of all ages.

12.  Hangouts



Google+Hangouts is a free video chat service from Google that enables both one-on-one chats and group chats with up to ten people at a a time.






13.  Trello



Trello is a collaboration tool that organizes your projects into boards.  In one glance, Trello tells you what's being worked on, who's working on what and where something is in a process.









1.  Power Point


PowerPoint is a slideshow presentation program that's part of the Microsoft office suite of tools. PowerPoint makes it easy to create, collaborate, and present your ideas in dynamic, visually compelling ways.
